If you've never attended Arizona online defensive driving school course before, don't worry, we have 14 years of experience making online learning as simple and trouble-free as possible.
Drivers of all ages take our Arizona online defensive driving school course for two reasons:
Voluntarily - because they have been cited for a traffic violation and they want to keep the conviction points off their official Arizona Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) driver record, to receive an auto insurance rate reduction, or to simply refresh their knowledge of traffic safety.
Involuntarily - because they have been ordered by the Court or Judge to do so.
Depending on your Court, you will be given from one (1) to three (3) months to complete our Arizona online defensive driving school program. Additionally, some Courts will allow you to request a defensive driving school due date extension. After you submit satisfactory proof of defensive driving school completion before your defensive driving school due date, your traffic citation will be dismissed by the Court and no points will be assessed against your official Arizona Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) driving record. If you sign up for defensive driving school and fail to file the defensive driving school completion certificate by your defensive driving school due date, the defensive driving school administrative fee you paid will be deemed as bail and forfeited, and MVD will be notified of the traffic conviction.
The Point System
All moving violations have points attached to them. Most are two (2) to three (3) point violations (speeding, illegal turn, stop sign, etc). An excessive number of points on your official Arizona Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) driver record will result in your driver's license being suspended or revoked.
Here is a list of the most common violations and their point values:
Leaving the scene of an accident: |
6 points |
Failure to stop for traffic signal, stop sign or yield |
6 points |
Failure to stop for traffic signal, stop sign or yield |
4 points |
Speeding: |
3 points |
Driving over or stopping in a gore area: |
3 points |
All other moving violations: |
2 points |
We urge you to do everything possible to keep points off your official MVD driving record, which means obeying all traffic laws, driving defensively and completing our Arizona online defensive driving school course, which will keep the points off your MVD driving record and protect your driving privilege. Click HERE to register for the online course.
You will lose your driver's license if your MVD driving record shows:
12 or more points in a 12-month period
To be eligible to attend our Arizona online defensive driving school course:
You must not have attended defensive driving school on another traffic citation issued within the last 24 months of your current traffic citation (unless ordered or allowed to do so by the MVD or Court). The 24 month period is calculated from the traffic citation/violation date, not defensive driving school class attendance date.
If you are ineligible for a defensive driving school course, your defensive driving school completion certificate may not be accepted by the Court.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you.
